Usage

This section describes how you can use the aws-translate-action.

Knative action

You can use the aws-translate-action Kamelet as an intermediate step in a Knative binding.

aws-translate-action-binding.yaml
apiVersion: camel.apache.org/v1alpha1
kind: KameletBinding
metadata:
  name: aws-translate-action-binding
spec:
  source:
    ref:
      kind: Kamelet
      apiVersion: camel.apache.org/v1alpha1
      name: timer-source
      properties:
        message: Hello
  steps:
    - ref:
        kind: Kamelet
        apiVersion: camel.apache.org/v1alpha1
        name: aws-translate-action
      properties:
        accessKey: The Access Key
        region: eu-west-1
        secretKey: The Secret Key
        sourceLanguage: it
        targetLanguage: en
  sink:
    ref:
      kind: Channel
      apiVersion: messaging.knative.dev/v1
      name: mychannel

Prerequisite

You have Camel K installed on the cluster.

Procedure for using the cluster CLI

  1. Save the aws-translate-action-binding.yaml file to your local drive, and then edit it as needed for your configuration.

  2. Run the action by using the following command:

    kubectl apply -f aws-translate-action-binding.yaml

Procedure for using the Kamel CLI

Configure and run the action by using the following command:

kamel bind aws-translate-action -p "step-0.accessKey=The Access Key" -p "step-0.region=eu-west-1" -p "step-0.secretKey=The Secret Key" -p "step-0.sourceLanguage=it" -p "step-0.targetLanguage=en" channel:mychannel

This command creates the KameletBinding in the current namespace on the cluster.

Kafka action
